Stewed Rhubarb and Plums
A delicious, and very English way of consuming fruit is to stew them!
You’ll need the following ingredients:
5 whole plums
4 stems rhubarb
1 star anise
zest of 1 orange + it’s juice
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon raw honey
To prepare:
Place all the ingredients in the pan and squeeze in the juice of one orange as the base of fluid.
Put on a very low flame and allow to stew for up to an hour until all the fruit is soft.
Serve with crème fraîche, yogurt or cream — take your pick :)
This dish will help your bowels move with ease!
